capitol, Austin

Pliny Fliskified . totally.
ongoing:

Pliny's ranch on the outskirts of Austin is a state demonstration of alternative energy consumption - the ranch produces it's own electricity using solar panels, it collects 1/3 of what is considered considerate water consumption per head per year and it collects it in rainwater. There are many tests, homages to various ecological inventions - collection of windturbines, concrete made with braine (salt water -waste from underwater oil pumping), steel water mini tower that sucks water from the ground just by expanding during day and contracting during night, which is its material property. and many inspiring others.

water collection on Haiti survival home prototype

Pliny's was also full of technological inventions, which clearly haven't reached Europe yet - luminous foil, that looked like a backlit presentation box.

Pliny said that a model shrinks time, so they were presenting their survival Haiti homes to future occupiers in 1inch to 1 foot scale to get people to imagine their lives within them.
funny how toys work

another invention: Pliny said - so this is how we archive our ideas - and we laughed, because he showed us a white board, which you clearly wipe after you are done.

well it was also a scanner/printer, so that you could press a button to print out an A4 of the board before you wiped it.
